The inauguration of the Thrikkakara Municipality - District Collectorate Kakkanad Biomethanation Plant was performed by the Hon'ble Minister for Local Self-Government, Shri M. B. Rajesh on 04/08/2025 at 1 pm.
As part of the Malinya muktha Nava Kerala, Thrikkakara Municipality was declared a waste-free municipality on 07/04/2025 at the municipality premises by District Collector NSK Umesh IAS. The function, presided over by Municipality Chairperson Smt. Radhamani Pillai, was attended by Vice Chairman Sri. Abdu Shana, Health Standing Committee Chairman Sri. Varghese Plassery, and Welfare Chairperson Smt.Suneera Firoz, Development Chairperson Smt. Smitha Sunny, Councilors Sri. Unni Kakkanad, Sri. CC Viju, Smt. Haseena Ummer, Municipality Secretary Sri.
